I owe my love of photography to my father Max. He was a keen photographer as a young boy back in the late 1930's/early 1940's, and encouraged my interest in my childhood years, helping me with both colour transparency and black & white darkroom work.
Now days I work in the digital medium, but my grounding in the unforgiving colour transparencies has taught me to take care to get thinks right "in camera" rather than relying on post processing.
For more than 40 years I have particularly enjoyed capturing what nature has to offer, responding to the way light falls on landscapes, and seeking to portray this in beautiful images. I am drawn to the simplicity of monochrome images - line, tone and texture, and the unique perspective of aerial landscapes. I love seeing my images printed, framed and hung as wall art.
